Who We Are
Oak & Orbit Universal Land Management, based in Eastern Tennessee, was founded by two brothers, Chris and Jesse, who share a deep passion for the outdoors and working the land. Nestled at the base of the Cherokee National Forest, they refine their skills and techniques on their own 83-acre homestead, ensuring that every project is guided by firsthand experience.
With a focus on working with nature rather than against it, Oak & Orbit helps landowners and homeowners restore, enhance, and manage their properties with environmentally responsible solutions. Whether it’s land clearing, forest thinning, silvopasture creation, wildfire mitigation, or campsite construction, Chris and Jesse approach each project with expertise, care, and respect for the land. Their goal is to transform landscapes into thriving, functional spaces while preserving the natural beauty and ecological health of the region.
No two properties are the same, and Oak & Orbit is dedicated to finding customized solutions for each client. If you’re looking for a team that values attention to detail, conservation, and quality, reach out today to see how we can help you achieve your vision.
Meet the Team
Jesse Laramee
Owner/Operator
Jesse spent 11 years in law enforcement, including time on two active SWAT teams and as a certified Advanced EMT. His career was defined by high-stakes operations that required precise actions, hazard mitigation, and the use of large vehicles and equipment. Jesse developed a strong foundation in risk management, emergency response, and decision-making under pressure. He values timing and precision, skills that translate seamlessly to tree and land services.
After starting a family, Jesse transitioned to the U.S. Forest Service, where he served as a trail technician and certified auxiliary wildland firefighter. On a crew in East Tennessee, he became a certified sawyer, skilled in chainsaw operations and advanced rigging techniques. Working on the Appalachian Trail, he honed his ability to assess and safely manage tree and land improvement tasks, all while balancing environmental impact.
Jesse’s passion for the outdoors and community led him to start Oak & Orbit with his brother, applying their expertise to improve natural spaces and enhance the local environment. With a commitment to precision and quality, Jesse delivers services that promote both beauty and sustainability in the community.
